Individual Therapy for Adults

A confidential, trauma-informed space to make sense of what you're carrying
- and find a steadier way forward

Beginning Where You Are...

People come to individual therapy for many different reasons. Some are navigating something acute - anxiety, trauma, loss, or a relationship that has broken down. Some are carrying something they have never quite been able to name. Some have had therapy before and want to go deeper. Some simply want a private, consistent space to think clearly and feel supported.

Whatever has brought you here, individual therapy offers something that is harder to find elsewhere - time, attention, and a relationship built entirely around you.

We draw on a range of approaches and bring them together in a way that fits you. Here is a brief guide to what each one involves:

The Approaches We Use

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

A structured, practical approach that explores the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. CBT helps you understand unhelpful patterns and develop more workable ways of responding to difficult situations.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

A focused approach that looks at the relationship between your mood and what is happening in your relationships and life circumstances. Particularly helpful for depression, grief and significant life changes.

Talking Therapy and Counselling

A space to speak openly and be heard without judgment. Sometimes what helps most is simply having someone truly listen — and from that, clarity and new perspectives can emerge.

EMDR
(Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)

An evidence-based therapy specifically designed for trauma and distressing experiences. EMDR helps the brain process difficult memories that feel stuck, reducing the impact they have on your present life.

Integrative Therapy

Rather than following one fixed model, integrative therapy draws on a range of approaches - tailored to what you need and when. Our integrative work is informed by attachment theory and psychodynamic thinking, exploring how early experiences and relational patterns shape the way we feel and relate today. Good therapy adapts to the person, not the other way around.

Getting Started

Step 1

Getting to Know You

We start by listening. In the first session, we want to understand what has brought you here, what matters to you, and what you are hoping therapy might offer, even if that is not yet clear. There is no pressure to have it figured out.

Step 2

Understanding the Patterns

Together we begin to look at the bigger picture: the experiences, relationships and patterns that have shaped you, and the ways they may still be showing up today. This is often where something shifts. Not because we have the answers, but because having space to look clearly can change what you see.

Step 3

Working Towards Change

As we build a shared understanding, we work together toward what you are hoping for. We use approaches that fit your needs and remain flexible as the work unfolds. The pace is always yours.
